After completing the course module, the student should be aware of different aspects of data management such as

Be familiar with data management and its components
be aware of the concept of research data and be able to apply that knowledge to your own research
awareness of the most common laws and regulations and the impact these have on your research
be familiar with the concept data management plan
Be able to discuss how and why structure of research data is important
be familiar with open data and FAIR data
be aware of open science and be able to discuss its potential impact on your research area
